ITINERARY
Day 01 Homeland/Beijing Our adventure begins when we board today's flight to Beijing.
Day 02 Arrive Beijing Arrive in Beijing, a world-class capital with an incredible mix of historic and modem landmarks. Our guide will pick us at Beijing international airport and transfer to our hotel.
Day 03 Beijing (B+L+SD) Visit the Badaling Great Wall, symbol of Chinese civilization. Visit the Ming Tombs. Visit the Temple of Heaven, where we will certainly be impressed by the beautiful structure of the Hall of Prayer. Peking Duck Dinner is served in the evening.
Day 04 Beijing/Xi'an (B+L+D) Visit the Tian'anmen Square, the world largest square. Visit the Forbidden City, which symbolizes the imperial and traditional China. Visit the Summer Palace, one of China's largest and best-preserved imperial gardens. Take flight to Xi'an, the most famous ancient capital of China.
Day 05 Xi'an (B+L+SD) Visit the Terracotta Warriors Museum, have three exhibition halls house the continuing excavation of an army of 7.000 terracotta soldiers and horses that guard the tomb of China's first emperor. Visit the Shaanxi History Museum. Visit the ancient City Wall. Enjoy a characteristic dumping dinner and enjoy a dazzling Tang Dynasty Cultural Show full of music, dance and colorful traditional costumes in the evening.
Day 06 Xi'an /Chengdu/Lhasa (B+L+D) Take flight to Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. Upon arrival, we transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is free for us to get accustomed to the Tibetan climate and altitude.
Day 07 Lhasa (B+L+D) Full day, visit the fabled Potala palace, Sera Monastery and Norbulingka Park.
Day 08 Lhasa/Shigatse (B+L+D) Drive to Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet. Visit the Tashilump Monastery and an old free market.
Day 09 Shigatse/Gyangtse/Lhasa (B+L+D) Drive to Gyangtse; visit Phalhkor Monastery and Kunbum Pagota. Then drive to Lhasa; visit Yamdrok Lake and the Karola Glacier on the way.
Day10 Lhasa (B+L+D) Visit the Drepung Monastery, Johkang Temple and Barkhor market.
Day11 Lhasa / Chongqing (B+L+D) Take flight to Chongqing, nicknamed the mountain . Day12 Chongqing/Dazu / Chongqing (B+L+D) We will spend the day on an excursion to Dazu Stone Carvings, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its extraordinary cliff sculptures. 50,000 images are carved into niches and caves on the hillsides of North Hill and Baoding Hill. Work began here in 892AD, and continued for more than 400 years. Then transfer back to Chongqing. Day13 Chongqing/Shanghai (B+L+D) Visit the Chongqing Zoo for the Giant Panda and the Residence of General Joseph W.Stilwell. Take flight to Shanghai, "where East meets West".
Day14 Shanghai (B+L+D) Visit the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden, a well-restored Suzhou-style garden created in 1559. Visit the Bund, where is splendid row of early 20th century European buildings remains the quintessential Shanghai sight.
Day15 Shanghai/Homeland (B) Transfer to the Shanghai Pudong international airport and board homebound flight; arrive in our sweet home on the same day.
